You can help Guitars not Guns expand its music programs to reach even more kids in need. Any financial contribution is very much needed and greatly appreciated! Consider the following…
1) Our program is about helping foster children and at-risk youth everywhere.
2) Guitars not Guns has no paid employees–we’re all volunteers. Virtually every dollar of your donation goes toward running the program, not paying salaries.
3) The average cost for holding an eight-week class for 10 students is about $3,000. That includes the following:
Consider our Donation Levels of Sponsorship:
-Ray of Hope: $5,000 scholarship donation in honor of the late founder Ray Nelson who is credited for founding the Guitars Not Guns organization along with his wife Louise Nelson. The donation will support The Scholarship program in Honor of our founders Ray and Louise Nelson and provide children with the necessary tools to support their continued endeavors in music education.
-Picking Partner: Adopt a Guitars Not Guns classroom for one year: $3,000 donation will ensure guitars, booklets, t-shirts, straps tuners, guitar cases, and graduation ceremonies for one classroom.
-Harmony Hero: Sponsors who commit to an annual donation of $1,500 annually.
-Strumming Star: $1,000 donation will provide students with starter guitars for a small classroom.
-Melody Maker: $500 assist in setting up a classroom material needed to ensure the classroom has the necessary materials to conduct a classroom setting for students.
-Fret Friend: In-kind donations of gear or space to hold classrooms.
-Chords of change: Donations of any amount are welcome and will go a long way in assisting the children and their journey in guitar lessons.
All donors will receive recognition on our Sponsorship/Partnership page!
