Florida President Val Steinberg reports:
We just began our very first Florida chapter at the SOS Children's Village in Coconut Creek, and are very excited to have fifteen eager kids ready to learn how to play guitar!
I'd like to take this opportunity to welcome our new state Vice President, Ken Arfa, and recognize our current teaching instructors and assistants, Gary Klein and Daniel Braff.
I'd also like to thank all of you who graciously donated instruments to our program. They will be lovingly used by our students!

Mayor proclaims October 21, 2007 Guitars not Guns Day in Lakeworth, FL, holding a benefit concert at a local club and giving each of the city’s first 10 Guitars Not Guns-sponsored students a guitar.
