Fremont, CA – July, 2008 – The Southern Alameda County Chapter (SACC) of Guitars Not Guns is in the start-up stage right now.
We are anxious to get our first class started and are in need of donations and volunteers to help bring some joy to deserving kids in the Fremont, Hayward, Union City and Newark area.
We have been in contact with individuals, local businesses and civic organizations to garner some financial support for our chapter. We already have 3 instructors with 3 more undergoing the approval process - we need to put them to work.
We also need students – so if you are a foster child or other deserving kid age 8-18, or you know someone who is, contact us right away. We want to provide a positive outlet through music. Music is a lifelong gift, and a guitar is easy to transport.
